Viewing of instruments We are concentrating on our web based business so that savings in costs can be passed on to the customer.   All of our instruments are available to view by appointment.  Your appointment will be private with out of hours appointments also available and will thus avoid viewing in a crowded shop.  Instruments may be viewed principally in central Scotland although we can make instruments available to view at other locations.

Piano guarantee and the background of the company Scotlandpianos.co.uk is your guarantee of quality.  We have traded for more than 10 years with various retail outlets.  Over time we have become more specialised with particular interests in restoring and repairing pianos and related instruments especially unusual and rare instruments.  We have replacement parts and backup for any piano and no piano is beyond restoration although costs may be a factor. 

Condition of instruments As instrument technicians we like to strip instruments down in order to thoroughly clean and repair or replace parts.  Many pianos have woodworm but we will guarantee that any piano supplied by us will not have any live woodworm.   We treat every instrument with wood preservative / insect killer sprayed under pressure as a matter of routine.  This does not leave any visible deposits or smells but guarantees the longevity of your instrument.  If we take an instrument in with woodworm we almost always destroy it before it can enter our workshops.  Instruments of technical or historic interest with woodworm may be taken in by us but pressure treated at a separate location to ensure that no woodworm can survive.  We are unaware of other suppliers being so fastidious.

Your instrument will be supplied in full working condition (all notes, pedals etc and fully tuned).  The instrument is also fully guaranteed and we operate a generous part exchange policy – almost any piano will be taken in part exchange simplifying your buying decision.  Our experience is drawn from the restoration and repair of many hundreds of pianos.  Makes of special interest to us have included Steinway, Bechstein, Challen, Ibach, Lipp, Forster, Erard, Broadwood.

Delivery is available to almost anywhere. Overseas deliveries are by individual quotation. Most uprights can be delivered for £150 or less UK and most grand pianos for £195 or less to most parts of the UK with specialised handling and set up.

All pianos are fully working, tuned and guaranteed. We offer part exchange on almost any piano and are pleased to facilitate upgrade piano exchanges.
